When it comes to Halloween decor, longtime Clinton resident Dilinda Brown doesn’t mess around. But her gory front-yard display anchored by a bloody mannequin named “Mean Josephine” is causing a stir on social media among some who say it’s inappropriate.

“It’s very disturbing,” a local mother named Amanda told WLBT. “It looks very realistic, and I think there’s other ways that people that celebrate Halloween could do that without offending others.”

Along with the stabbed, bloody mannequin, Brown has caution tape on her front door and a torso-less figure named “Johnny” to round out the fake Halloween massacre. Brown was stunned by the negative reaction, she told WLBT, and said she has no plans to remove Josephine or the rest of the display.
