A Tallahatchie County woman faces prison time for stealing tax refunds and threatening to hit a Treasury Department agent with a shovel.

The Associated Press reports Veronica Lloyd of Enid was sentenced Thursday to nearly three years in federal prison and given a $52,342 restitution order to repay tax refunds stolen from people in her community.

Lloyd, 46, pleaded guilty in June to converting a treasury refund check for her own use, along with charges of wire fraud and threatening a government agent.
