Holiday shopping procrastinators take heed: It’s nearly zero hour!

The clock is about to strike midnight and your hopes of getting Christmas gifts delivered before Tuesday’s big day are dimming fast.

Today (Thursday, December 20) is the final day for two-day shipping options with international shippers, Fed-Ex and UPS. The United States Postal Service’s Priority Mail deadline is also today.

Friday, December 21, is the overnight shipping deadline for UPS and Fed-Ex.

For Amazon Prime members, the online retailer has extended its “drop dead” deadline to be Saturday, December 22 for two-day shipping and Sunday, December 23 for overnight shipping (if items are available for rapid shipping)  if orders are made before 9:15 p.m. local time.

If you still cannot manage to get something ordered in time, try calling the would-be recipient on Christmas Eve and telling them how much you love and appreciate them.

Those warm feelings can can be instantly delivered by phone.
