SANDHILL, Miss. (AP) — Even speeding Mississippi drivers will note one of the fastest women in the world.

Officials recently unveiled a highway sign on Mississippi 25 in Rankin County honoring sprinter Tori Bowie.
The sign says: “Welcome to the community of Sandhill, home of Olympic gold medalist Tori Bowie.”

Bowie won gold with the American team in women’s 4×100 meter relay in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She also won a silver medal that year in the 100-meter and a bronze medal in the 200-meter.
