By now, the incredible feel-good story of the father who flew on six flights in three days to be with his daughter over the Christmas holidays has popped up on multiple social media pages.
That flight attendant, Pierce Vaughan, is an Ole Miss graduate, whose family resides in Mississippi.
Vaughan is a 2016 Ole Miss grad who had to work as a flight attendant on Christmas, and her father, Hal Vaughan, booked multiple flights to spend time with his daughter on Christmas.
Mike Levy, an Ohio man who was also traveling on Christmas, shared their story, and his Facebook post was shared by 39,000 users.
“Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her,” Levy wrote on Facebook. “So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas.”
Hal flew with Pierce, a flight attendant for Delta airlines, starting from New Orleans and going through Detroit, Fort Myers, Atlanta and Hartford before returning New Orleans. After landing in New Orleans, Hal returned home to Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
“Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success,” Pierce wrote on her Facebook page. “A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew. He made it on every flight and even got first class.”
