A Jackson man was arrested Friday and charged with domestic aggravated assault after Jackson police say the man attacked his mother with a knife.

JPD officers were called Friday afternoon to Delhaven Manor Apartments on Albermarle Road, WAPT TV reported, where they found Dewone Banks, 34.

Officers found a 63-year-old woman with injuries to her back and ear, JPD Seargent Roderick Holmes told the TV station. Holmes said the injuries did not appear life threatening.
