OKOLONA — A Mississippi man was jailed Sunday after he rammed a car into a house after growing frustrated by his girlfriend’s refusal to leave a party, police said.

The man has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault for the action.

Okolona Police Chief Tommie Ivy tells WTVA-TV that five people were sent to hospitals after the incident around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Ivy says 67-year-old Willie Pulphus was ready to leave a party and grew impatient with his girlfriend when she wouldn’t go with him.

The police chief says Pulphus was found to be under the influence and later told police he didn’t remember what he had done.
