Ole Miss’ Grove Bowl set for April, football, baseball and tennis on tap

Ole Miss will host 2019 Grove Bowl Weekend April 5-7, highlighted by the Rebel football team’s annual intrasquad scrimmage and the baseball team’s series with Florida.

The Grove Bowl serves as the finale of the Rebels’ spring drills, which will begin on February 28. The game is set for Saturday, April 6 at 3 p.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and admission will be free.

The Saturday football scrimmage will be followed by the Ole Miss baseball team in action at 7 p.m. Game time for Friday’s series opener will be 6:30 p.m., while Sunday’s first pitch is 1:30.

Other events of Grove Bowl Weekend include the annual Chucky Mullins Courage Award Ceremony, which will be a luncheon on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Grill at 1810 at the Manning Center. Ticket information and other details will be announced next month.

In addition, the Rebel men’s tennis team will be in action Sunday with a doubleheader against Arkansas-Pine Bluff beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free at the Palmer/Salloum Center.
