Mississippi man sentenced to 60 years for killing couple, shooting their 6-month-old

A Mississippi man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting and killing a couple and wounding their 6-month-old child.

News outlets reported that 29-year-old Myrick Laneaux pleaded guilty in Bay St. Louis on Wednesday to two counts of manslaughter and one count of aggravated assault.

The bodies of 29-year-old Norris Demetris Mueller and 28-year-old Kristina Quintini were found in their home in Bay St. Louis on July 30, 2016.
Mia Mueller suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Assistant District Attorney Chris Daniel said there were no weapons, fingerprints or DNA at the home to identify a suspect.

But Daniel said Laneaux told several people he shot the victims during a dispute over money. Investigators used phone records to confirm the dispute.
