Heavy rains over the past several days brought flash floods across many low-lying parts of northern Mississippi Friday, perhaps none worse than when the Skuna River rose more than 19 feet in just over a day.

The rapidly rising river combined with the deluge of water saturating the town of Bruce in Calhoun County. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office shared this drone footage of the scope of the flooding.
