Flooded primary rivers like the Mississippi River and Yazoo Rivers have caused backwater flooding across large areas of Mississippi.
The backwater flooding can push wildlife out of their normal habitats as they seek higher ground.
In this drone footage from the Warren County Emergency Management team stranded deer are shown along the levee in Eagle Lake, just north of the city of Vicksburg.
Motorists should be mindful of the numerous deer and wildlife displaced by the high water when traveling.
