Investigators with the Vicksburg Police Department are reviewing security footage at Sports Force Parks on The Mississippi following what some are calling an attempted abduction of a child Thursday evening.

A 2-year-old child said an unknown man grabbed her arm while she was playing on the playground at Sports Force Parks on the Mississippi, said Lt. Johnnie Edwards, Vicksburg Police Department’s criminal investigations commander, said.

Edwards said the child told her bother the man grabbed her arm when she went down the playground slide.

Her brother went to tell his father, who was watching a baseball game, and when the pair returned to the playground, the man was gone.
