The badly decomposed body of a north Mississippi was found by a family friend and the dead man’s wife, who was out of town for work, wants answers.

Linda Hayes, Memphis TV Fox 13 reported, of Marks in Quitman County was working out of town and was concerned after not hearing from her husband, Cam Jones, for several days.

Hayes send a family friend to her house to check. The friend reportedly noticed a large number of flies outside the house and became concerned, ultimately climbing through an open window and finding Jones’ body, the TV station reported.

Reportedly Jones’ dog was found dead outside the house as well.

Hayes told told the TV station she wants to know what happened to her husband, that he mostly kept to himself.

“I know somebody out there has some answers and I want to know if they know anything,” she told the TV station.

Jones’ body was sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
