Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested the father of a 14-month-old child and the man’s wife, charging both with capital murder, state media reported Monday.

Morris Bevily IV and TKia Bevily, the stepmother to the dead child, are being charged with murder, WLBT TV News reported.

The father and stepmother of a 14-month-old child in Claiborne County have been charged in the death of Jurayah Smith. The baby died in October 2017. She was in the care of the father and stepmother at the time of her death.
