Donald Eric McRoy, 53, of Biloxi, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden to 278 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin, announced U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst and Special Agent in Charge Jere T. Miles with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations in New Orleans.

On four separate occasions in 2016, McRoy sold, directly or indirectly, quantities of heroin to an individual acting in an undercover capacity along the Gulf Coast.

The investigation also revealed that McRoy was obtaining large quantities of heroin from a dealer in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Further investigation has led to the convictions of both McRoy’s supplier and his supplier’s supplier, and has thwarted a large scale heroin operation in south Mississippi.
