Some rivers in south Mississippi are still rising after heavy rains over the weekend caused flooding that forced road closures.
The National Weather Service says the Wolf River north of Gulfport is likely to crest late Monday at a flood stage of 15.5 feet.
Forecasters say that means some homes and businesses near the river are likely to flood and several roads will be underwater.
Officials in Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River and Stone counties report a number of roads still closed because of flooding, including Mississippi 15 near Ramsey Springs in Stone County and Mississippi 57 north of Vancleave.
U.S. 49 near Perkinston reopened Sunday. The floodwaters of Red Creek had cut off the major artery.
Gov. Phil Bryant signed a state of emergency because of the severe weather.
