He’s charged in the deaths of 22-year-old Mauricio Nance of Columbus, 24-year-old Tyshun Fields of Crawford and 31-year-old Demario Snell of Artesia in Snell’s home on Jan. 15.

The Commercial Dispatch quotes arrest affidavits as stating that Allen tried to work out a marijuana deal, but reports that the affidavits don’t link that allegation to the killing.

Investigators found the bodies in Snell’s home after gunshots were reported in Artesia, a small town about 10 miles east-southeast of Starkville.
