Mississippi sheriff’s deputies had to be called to a Head Start center in Southwest Mississippi after a parent allegedly hit a worker in the face several times.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported they were called to the Thompson Head Start School in Natchez where Chandise Martin said a parent, 35-year-old Rhondrankeika Thompson, struck her in the face while they talked in the hallway after Thompson had come to the school because of an issue with her child.

Martin told deputies she walked away when Thompson began yelling at her, but that Thompson pursued her into a classroom and continued to come at her. Martin said she defended herself only after she was struck. After the incident Martin said she discover her phone had been taken by a family member of Thompson’s.
