Missing Mississippi teen found safe

The missing child alert issued Friday for a missing Senatobia teenager has been called off.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation announced Layla Makay Carter of Senatobia was found and is safe.

She had been missing since Thursday, May 23, at approximately 5:30 a.m., in the 100 block of Evergreen Drive in Tate County, wearing a dark jacket, white shorts, and possibly carrying a pink back pack.
