A judge has stayed two lawsuits against a Mississippi police officer accused of not dropping charges against two murder suspects who reportedly had concrete alibis.

The Hattiesburg American reports U.S. District Magistrate Michael Parker this month delayed the cases until January as Hattiesburg police Sgt. Neal Rockhold has been deployed by the military.

The lawsuits say Keith Lee and Arthur Jones Jr. were charged in the death of 17-year-old Collins football player Jabarri Goudy. Goudy was killed outside a Hattiesburg nightclub on July 5, 2015, the same night the lawsuits say the men were filmed at a Gulfport nightclub.

The lawsuits say the men were jailed for more than nine months on charges that were eventually dropped. Two others have pleaded guilty in the crime and a third person’s case is ongoing.
