Fred’s announces another 17 Mississippi stores to close; is your local store on list?

Discount retailer Fred’s announced plans last week to close an additional 49 stores across the country including 17 more in Mississippi.
The closures were the latest of what is now a total of more than 50% of the company’s stores closing.
The company announced in April plans to close 31 stores in Mississippi and another 18 Mississippi locations in May.
The latest Mississippi stores set to close include:

Indianola: 210 Highway 82 W
Lexington: 301 Yazoo St.
Macon: 59 Frontage Road
Mantachie: 67 Watson Drive
Newton: 304 Northside Drive
Okolona: 511 W Monroe Ave.
Pelahatchie: 404 Second St.
Richton: 403 Front St.
Rolling Fork: 20917 U.S. 61
Taylorsville: 402 Pine St.
