A North Mississippi man was killed over the weekend when he was reportedly beaten to death with a 2-by-4 piece of lumber.

The Marshall County coroner told WREG-TV in Memphis that Frank Boldin was killed outside a trailer near Moore’s Grocery Store on Highway 72.

Family members reported that a person known to the family drove up, attacked the victim and drove away.

The incident remains under investigation.
