Concordia Parish, Louisiana, Sheriff’s Office officials are seeking the extradition of a man they believe killed two people in Clayton this weekend.
CPSO Chief Deputy David Hedrick said Marvin Anthony Watson, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself over to Adams County, Mississippi, Sheriff Travis Patten early Sunday morning.
Hedrick said Watson is the suspect in the deaths of Meghan McCoy Watson and her son at 211 Anderson Road in Clayton.
Hedrick said 911 operators received a call Sunday requesting service at the address. Upon the arrival of deputies, the bodies of Meghan McCoy Watson and her son were found lifeless in the residence, Hedrick said.
Hedrick said the CPSO is seeking to have Marvin Watson extradited from Adams County. After he is extradited, Marvin Watson will be arrested, Hedrick said.
“We believe we have the right person,” Hedrick said.
Hedrick said the case is under investigation and no further information can be released at this time.
“Please keep the family in your prayers,” Hedrick said.
