Investigators are searching for clues in the disappearance of a 9-months’ pregnant, Mississippi woman who vanished as she headed to show the baby’s father a sonogram image of their child.

Holmes County Sheriff’s Office investigators say they’re looking for 21-year-old Makayla Winston.

Winston reportedly was with her sister in the small town of Goodman Thursday night before she left in her car.

Winston’s mother, Yvette Brown, told Jackson media that her daughter was headed to show a sonogram of the baby to the baby’s father. Winston’s baby was due July 4, Brown said.

Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies report Winston’s care was found with the keys in the ignition and a cell phone discarded in grass nearby. The phone appeared to have had data erased, Sheriff Willie March told local media.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is aiding in the search and investigators say foul play is suspected.
