Police shoot man who came into Mississippi gas station brandishing gun

A man who walked into a Mississippi convenience store holding a gun was shot a short time later by a local police officer, state media reported.
The police-officer-involved shooting in the small town of Woodville in Southwest Mississippi is under investigation by multiple state agencies, WLBT-TV reported.
Woodville police reported that a man walked into the Sprint Mart location on U.S. 61 while holding a gun.
A police officer then shot the man who was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital where his condition is not known.
Police said the officer was not injured and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation will help lead the investigation.
