A body found on the Natchez Trace early Wednesday morning is believed to be a Mississippi woman reported missing since last Wednesday

Authorities say a Natchez Trace Parkway worked spotted a vehicle off the road way and upon investigating found a body inside.

The family of Glenda Spivey had been reaching out for help in locating the 63-year-old mother and grandmother.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green told the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal that the body had been identified as Spivey.

The vehicle was found several hundred yards down a field along the bank of the Coonewah Creek, near the Trace’s intersection with Highway 6.

The state will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
