Cold front headed to Mississippi should bring chances of rain followed by cooler temperatures in the middle of the week.

Weather forecasters say a cold front coming to Mississippi this week will bring a chance of showers and rain as it moves through the state, but the wet weather will be worth the hassle as temperatures will drop approximately 10 degrees below normal as the front clears.

Nighttime low temperatures are expected to drop into the low- to mid-60s this week with afternoon highs in the low- to mid-80s.
