A Mississippi board is extending the suspension of the medical license of an OB-GYN physician who faces several complaints about sexual misconduct.

The Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure took the action Thursday against Dr. Walter Ray Wolfe, who practices in Canton.

The board had temporarily suspended Wolfe’s license July 10. After Thursday’s action, the suspension is for an indefinite length of time.

The Clarion Ledger reports that neither Wolfe nor his attorney attended the Thursday board meeting.

One complaint was that Wolf had an affair with one of his married employees and tried to insert abortion-inducing drugs into her while she was pregnant with his child. The baby was later born.

Wolfe’s attorney had said in court papers that allegations of misconduct are “preposterous.”
