Mississippi State worker stabbed at campus student union; colleague sought
A Mississippi State University spokesman says a campus employee is hospitalized after witnesses said another staff member stabbed the man during an apparent disagreement in the student union building.
The university’s alert service reported the stabbing about 5 p.m. Friday.
The alert service later reported that university police said the suspect had left campus.
Mississippi State spokesman Sid Salter says the university was not immediately releasing the name of the victim or the person being sought. Information about their jobs was not immediately available.
Salter said the victim’s vital signs were good.
