A Mississippi native was killed last week in Houston, Texas, after police say she wrecked her car while trying to evade police.

Former Natchez resident Louise Vaughn Walker reportedly was killed Monday night after losing control over her vehicle while police pursued her.

Houston media outlets report that police were working another auto accident when they noticed Walker’s car driving erratically.

Police said she nearly struck officers which started the pursuit.
