Man arrested in Mississippi, charged with Louisiana arson; police say he ran from scene with face, arm on fire

A man allegedly spotted running from a Marrero, Louisiana, apartment with his arm and face on fire last December was arrested in Mississippi last week.

NOLA.comreports Terone Thomas, 40, was arrested in Hancock County, Mississippi.

He was soon extradited to Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, where he was charged with four counts of aggravated arson.

Police believe Thomas caused the fire that damaged the apartment complex in December 2018. Witnesses told police Thomas ran out of the apartment on fire, jumped into a nearby car and sped away.
