Report: County constable shoots, kills knife-wielding attacker at Mississippi church

A county constable shot at killed a man at church Sunday morning after the man allegedly attacked him with a knife a church.

State and local media report that Tippah County Constable Keith Bullock shot and killed Patrick Sanders of Dumas after Sanders allegedly wielded a knife against Bullock.

The two were at the West Ripley Church of Christ.

Bullock was treated for minor injuries at the local hospital. Sanders was apparently pronounced dead at the scene.

Because it was an officer-involved shooting, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was asked to help with the case.
