Mississippi driver’s license offices reopen, department says

All offices that issue Mississippi driver’s licenses were closed for several hours because of technology problems.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety says the offices reopened by late Wednesday afternoon.

The offices are supposed to be open for regular business hours, starting Thursday.

Long lines are common at many driver’s license offices, and some smaller offices close with short notice because they have too few employees working.
