A Mississippi man has pleaded guilty to armed robbery after prosecutors said he followed a woman who won a $5,000 casino jackpot and robbed her at gunpoint.

Madison County District Attorney John K. Bramlett Jr. says in a news release that Thomas Ray Ball, Jr., of Clinton, pleaded Monday and was sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole or early release.

Bramlett says that on Sept. 17, 2017, Ball and another man were at a casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and they looked for people who won money.

Bramlett says the men followed a woman to her car and then trailed her for about 50 miles (80 kilometers) to Ridgeland and robbed her at an ATM.

Bramlett says video showed Ball at the casino and the ATM.
