The DeSoto County, Mississippi, Sheriff’s Office issued an alert Thursday morning of what it described as a ‘major’ natural gas leak and urged nearby residents to shelter in place. The alert was canceled a short time later after the gas line was repaired.

The leak was located in Southaven at the intersection of Cherry Place Drive and Kenton Drive.
