A man was arrested Wednesday in Amite County after he allegedly stormed onto a school bus stopped in front of his house and caused a disturbance, allegedly cursing in front of children that ranged from elementary school to high school in age.

The McComb Enterprise-Journal newspaper reported that Scott Matthew Dupuy, 35, of Liberty, was arrested by Amite County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Dupuy is charged with trespassing on a school bus and disturbing the peace.

It was not clear why Dupuy allegedly stormed the bus, but Amite County School District Superintendent Scotty Whittingon told WLBT-TV that Dupuy used abusive and vulgar language.

At least one student captured a portion of the incident on a cell phone video that was posted to social media.
