Police arrested a Mississippi man late Sunday after he allegedly stole a tractor-trailer truck and let police on a chase, which ended when he crashed into a house, catching it on fire.

Deputies reportedly spotted the truck driving fast without headlights on at approximately 11:30 p.m. Friday near Ellis Avenue.

The driver apparently refused to stop for deputies.

Deputies pursued the truck onto Belvedere Drive when the driver turned sharply and crashed in a house.

The truck caught fire and spread to the house. The house was not occupied.

The driver, Lessee Ray Dunaway, 37 was charged with attempted aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, operating a vehicle while under the influence and resisting arrest.
