Three people were killed Sunday when they drowned in a small pond in Madison County, Mississippi.

Details of the three people have not been released, but Jackson area media report dive teams from both Madison and Hinds county recovered the three bodies.

Three people were in a boat fishing when their boat capsized. Apparently a person fishing on the bank jumped in to try and help. He died along with two of the three people on the boat. One reportedly survived.

The pond was located off North County Line Road in the city of Ridgeland.
