A high-speed chase in Alabama ended in Mississippi with two burglary suspects dead Sunday morning after their car flipped over.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday morning to a call of a burglary in progress at a Dollar General store on Old Pascagoula Road, AL.com reported.
Deputies spotted the suspects leaving the store and began a pursuit. The suspects’ car fit the description given during the investigation of previous Dollar General and Family Dollar burglaries in the area.
The suspects fled across the Alabama-Mississippi state line, but deputies temporarily lost the suspects due to the speeds at which they were driving.
Both people inside were ejected when the driver lost control and the car flipped. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was reportedly Herbert Bernard Green Jr., but the passenger’s identity was not immediately released pending positive identification.
