Suspicious trooper discovers missing girl as part of sex-trafficking operation; Mississippi man charged

A Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper got suspicious when stopping to help a stranded motorist and quickly uncovered what is believed to have been a teenage sex trafficking victim.

The trooper came upon a disabled vehicle on Highway 45 Alternate and stopped to help them. The trooper became suspicious of the two adult males and 15-year-old female.

The trooper separated the three and began asking questions. The trooper learned the girl was from Georgia and had been reported missing and that she had been part of a commercial sex operation.

Troopers arrested Emanual Terelle Moore, 32, of Philadelphia, Mississippi, charging him with kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was being held on a $50,000 bond.

Moore reportedly was out of jail on bond on a statutory rape charge in Georgia.

The other man in the car with Moore and the girl was arrested, but later released.
