A registered sex offender was arrested Sunday after sheriff’s deputies say he was prostituting a developmentally disabled woman to people at an interstate rest stop.

WDAM-TV reports that a Forrest County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted suspicious activity around a truck at the rest stop on Interstate 59 and began surveillance.

They discovered Louis Remont, 60, of Bay St. Louis, who is a three-time sex offender, and a female who deputies said appeared to be developmentally disabled. Investigators say Remont was offering sex acts with the woman in exchange for money.
