Police are investigating an early morning car accident in which two stolen cars collided with one another.

Jackson police report the accident happened early Tuesday morning shortly after 4 a.m. when one vehicle was taken from south Jackson gas station.

That vehicle collided with another vehicle — also reported stolen – on University Boulevard at the intersection with Winter Street. The first stolen vehicle continued moving until it crashed again near Hooker Street, police report.

Police say an injured man was located near the second crash scene and is believed to have been inside the vehicle taken from the gas station.

The second vehicle was reportedly stolen from another area. Whoever was driving it fled the scene and have not been located.
