Brookhaven, Mississippi, police are investigating a shooting overnight on Crooked Lane that left two people dead, authorities said.

Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris confirmed that two people died during a family dispute at a home on Crooked Lane. The shooting occurred sometime after 9 p.m., he said.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
