A Mississippi man has been charged with killing his son after a domestic situation turned violent.

James Bryant Hester, 51, faces charges after law investigators believe Hester shot and killed his 28-year-old son, Eddie Hester, Sunday in Monroe County, the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported.

James Bryant Hester was released after posting a $50,000 bond.

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies responded after someone at the same residence where the shooting occurred called 911 to report the shooting.

Deputies received the call at approximately 6:23 p.m. Sunday.

Eddie Hester was found dead when deputies arrive. Another person at the scene was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
