Reports: President Trump to stump for Reeves in Mississippi Nov. 1
North Mississippi media outlets are reporting that President Donald Trump plans to visit Tupelo next month for a campaign stop in support of GOP gubernatorial candidate Tate Reeves.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal and WTVA-TV report city officials have confirmed the planned visit.
Trump has held three Mississippi rallies since becoming president, two to campaign for Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith in 2018 and one personal rally in Southaven, also in 2018.
Reeves is facing Democrat Jim Hood in the general election for the Mississippi governor’s office after incumbent Phil Bryant could not run again due to term limits.
