A Mississippi woman who works as a traveling nurse has been reported missing in a national park in California.

Fresno, California, media report park rangers at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park are searching for Mary Joanna Gomez, 56, after she was reported missing by family members.

Gomez’s daughter told authorities her mother sent photographs to her from the park on Thursday.

Gomez was supposed to work in San Francisco Friday evening, but did not show up for work.
