Officials say they have found the car of a Mississippi woman who has gone missing in a national park in California.

Officials say Mary Joanna Gomez’s car was found Sunday morning around midnight. Several search teams have been combing the area, but have not found her.

Fresno, California, media report park rangers at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park are searching for Gomez, 56, after she was reported missing by family members.

Rangers reportedly found the car unoccupied in the Little Baldy region of Sequoia National Park early Sunday morning. They left a note on her windshield in case she returned, media reports.

Gomez’s daughter told authorities her mother sent photographs to her from the park on Thursday.

Gomez who works as a traveling nurse was supposed to work in San Francisco Friday evening, but did not show up for work.
