Thanks for the memories: Popular Mississippi pop shop to close at end of the month

Supporters of a popular Jackson popsicle and coffee shop posted photos and messages of gratitude after the shop announced it would be closing its doors at the end of the month.
Deep South Pops announced the news on their Facebook Wednesday.
“Dear friends, it’s never easy to say goodbye,” the post starts. “Due to the needs of our growing family, we are choosing a new path.”
The store, which has been in Jackson for four-and-a-half years grew in popularity from the Belhaven neighborhood and from Jackson area residents who would stop by the store for dessert or an afternoon treat.
They end the announcement by saying, “Thank you for the memories, the support, and the love, Jackson.”
