A domestic violence situation turned deadly when a North Mississippi mother was killed by her daughter, official say.

Officers were called to Fudgetown Road in Panola County at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday night when they discovered a woman dead from gunshot wounds, Fox 13 News in Memphis is reporting.

The woman has been identified as Pearly Hamilton, 46.

Officials from the Panola County coroner’s office say Hamilton was shot and killed by her daughter, who has not been identified.

Officials say the daughter has not been charged and the incident is domestic-violence related.
