Mississippi deputies shoot suspect while executing search warrant at residence Monday
Authorities shot a suspect Monday while trying to search a home in Clarksdale, Mississippi, sheriff’s officials said.
The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the home shortly after 6:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release posted on its Facebook page.
A suspect was shot and taken to a hospital by ambulance. Sheriff’s officials did not immediately release the suspect’s condition or provide additional details about the shooting.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is handling the probe, according to the release.
